Today is it exactly 12 months since my last radiotheraphy. It´s crazy to think about, it seems so far away and yet so close. The woman I see in the mirror don´t look sick, and I don´t even feel sick, tired faster but not sick.
Yesterday I picked a dress from City Goddess, to avoid look to polished, I styled it with a head/neck scarf (there was actually in the lovely goodie bag present from Rosemarie Abela´s show)
I decided to have my chest scar out there, its important for me not to hide the journey but also to show other, that is ok to have "flaws" as long as we don´t become to self-pity.
I finally had time to wash my hair, while my husband picked up the kids... (yeah I know, but I have 2 little kids who also had sports days, parents day, dance recitals etc this week)
I decided to go all-in on the repair products from TREsemme, and I think the results speak for itself. My hair has been bleached many times on top of harsh radiotherapy, so it´s quite damaged. So it was nice, to have it nice and shiny again:)
I styled my outfit with Valentino Rocketed and a blue Chanel WOC (Wallet on chains) from last season.
The back is lovely on the dress, the only problem with corset bags, are normally that you get extra boobs on your bag, but it´s a good opportunity to straighten your back (and its more healthy to)
Just chillin here totally relaxed while my neighbours are wondering if I have done drugs.
I always hated my legs. Even when I was skinny, I had bulky legs, with age I have come to appreciate them. They are maybe not the slim sexy legs, that I dreamt about when I was young. But they are super strong, and can walk for hours, when the rest of me is tired.
The earrings I got in birthday present from East Copenhagen.
Lips: MAC Retro Matte: Fuchsia Flicker (last 4-5 hours)
I´m a size UK 14/12 on the top and 12/10 on bottom, I´m 157 cm tall / 160 cm tall on a good day:) And yes there was some insecurity I had to swallow before attending to these events, dressed the way I did. However if not we show the diversity not just with size/age/race etc how do we change?
For same reason, I´m so exceptional happy to work with such strong brands as TREsemme Malta and MAC Cosmetics, being the "old" "big" "asian" "sick" women I am, and I hope I can inspire other women to say f*ck you to norms, raise your head high in pride for who you are.. x
